SlideMoor Benefits & Product Specs

“Things that go bump in the night” shouldn’t be your boat hitting the dock!

SIMPLIFY DOCKING

The maintenance free SlideMoor System typically works with two lines on one side of vessel only, making it the safest and easiest Docking System on the market.

SlideMoor has been successfully providing custom “Tied Tightly to One Side Only” Docking Systems for vessels up to 120’ LOA for more than 25 years.  Our secret?  We control 100% of the vessel’s lateral movement, thus virtually eliminating the destructive forces of momentum responsible for most damage sustained while at the dock.  Our unique design completely eliminates the need for cross ties, spring lines, out-pilings and inflatable fenders.

SYSTEM COMPONENTS

The SlideMoor System is based upon simplicity, both in its design and usage.

SlideMoor Systems consists of:

Two aluminum Tracks. The Length of the Tracks is predicated upon the size and weight of the vessel as well as the tidal range at the dock.  Tracks are available to accommodate round or flat surfaces.  Two Custom made Slides. The length of the Slides is predicated upon the length, weight and rub rail design of the vessel.  More Info?

BOAT DOCKING SAFETY

Since the SlideMoor System is designed to hold the vessel tightly to the dock on one side only, boarding, loading and unloading the boat is much easier and safer.

SlideMoor Systems consists of:

When tied to a SlideMoor System the vessel can never move away from the dock.  This design eliminates the typical lateral movement of a vessel as passengers and crew board.  Remaining steadfast against the dock makes the SlideMoor System perfect for all passengers, and especially for young children, pets and the physically challenged.

WEATHER PROTECTION

SlideMoor has been successfully protecting vessels in hurricanes and severe storms for over 25 years

SlideMoor Systems consists of:

Think about it.  If your vessel cannot move away from the dock, it cannot bang into the dock, regardless of the weather.  A SlideMoor System protects the vessel in calm or stormy conditions.

METHOD OF INSTALLATION

A SlideMoor System can typically be installed in many applications using simple tools on existing pilings/seawalls.

Installing a SlideMoor System can many times be accomplished by the boat owner.  If you are able to drive ½” X 6” stainless steel bolts (not included with the System) into wooden or concrete pilings, then you may be able install the System yourself.  If not, most dock building contractors and install if for you. And because the addition of a SlideMoor System does not appreciably change or modify the dock and no electricity is required, building permits are not required in most applications.

COST BENEFITS

The initial cost of a SlideMoor System is considerably less than other docking alternatives and the cost of recurring maintenance is virtually $0.

You need to only compare the cost of a SlideMoor System to a boat lift or dry storage to understand the value and maintenance free advantages of the “tied tightly to one side only” design.  Add in the security and peace-of-mind that an autonomous SlideMoor Docking System provides and its value becomes immediately evident.

FLOATING DOCK BRACKETS

Did you know that SlideMoor makes a System specifically designed to secure floating docks to fixed pilings/seawalls?

The SlideMoor Floating Dock Bracket System safely secures all types of floating docks to their support structures.  Our unique design virtually eliminates 100% of all lateral movement making the floating dock much more stable.  Our unique design is also particularly effective for all types of drive-on floating docks (wood metal or modular plastic).
